Meet your home organiser in Hertfordshire

You’ve landed here because something in your home isn’t working. You want help to tackle the clutter. To simplify the stuff. To stop wading through the mess on your own.

If you’re like most of my clients, you have a lot going on. Life is full. Work, family, ageing parents, teenagers, new babies, big careers, grief, neurodiverse brains, change. And the house needs to be your safe space, not one more thing that feels too much.

I get it. I’ve been the exhausted mum of three under three. The full-time primary school teacher whose job didn’t stop at 3pm. And even worked the intense schedule of being in television production. I know what it feels like when there is simply no capacity left to “just sort it”.

Home organiser

Why choose me as your home organiser?

I opened Sort and Order in 2019 after years of helping friends and family move house, redesign rooms and rethink storage. I was the person they called on to help. Always the one to offer when they did not. I’ve always had a natural eye for interiors and for how a space could work better, and they knew my presence would make a

difference.

I walk into a home and quickly see where the friction is, what’s making daily life harder than it needs to be and how small changes can bring ease back in.

And when the opportunity came to work behind the scenes on series one of BBC’s Sort Your Life Out, I didn’t hesitate. It deepened my understanding of the stories behind the stuff. It made me think about new and better ways of organising. I learnt so much.

Since then, I’ve worked everywhere from tiny homes to celebrity homes. Each home treated with the same respect and confidentiality.

But real life isn’t television. Most homes can’t be emptied into a warehouse and reset in one dramatic reveal. The real work happens while you’re living in it. School runs still happen. Work calls still come in. Life carries on. And that’s why you can’t get to dealing with the stuff on your own.

That’s where I come in.

Before becoming a home organiser, I was a primary school teacher. I saw first-hand how clear systems create calm and independence. When people know where things belong, everything flows better.

Homes are no different.

I work with capable, intelligent women whose lives have simply become full. The clutter isn’t the problem. It’s just the symptom of what’s really going on.

So my role is to:

●   Reduce the noise

●   Put practical systems in place

●   Help your home support you again

There’s no judgment. No unrealistic routines. And definitely no “5 minute declutter while the kettle boils tips” although I do love a cuppa while we do the work together.

Why I do this work as a home organiser?

I’m a home organiser because I know the difference an organised home makes to how we feel and function. I genuinely care about the people I work with. Every day is different, every client is different and every family brings their own perspective and needs.

I care about how people live, how their brains work and how their homes support them. I love solving the puzzle of a space and shaping it around real life, not perfection. It is thoughtful, practical and deeply satisfying work, and I feel very lucky to be trusted with it.

If this sounds like the kind of person you’d like beside you while you sort your home and deal with the big stuff that’s going on behind the scenes, send me a message and let’s talk about what you need.

What do home organisers do?

In my book, a home organiser helps you make sense of what you have, let go of what you don’t need, and put simple systems in place so your home actually works for the life you’re living.

All Sort and Order home organising sessions start with a free 15–30 minute phone call. We talk about what feels hardest in your home, what’s not working, and what you’d like to change. Then we agree a clear focus and lock in a day.

On the day itself, you can choose whether you leave me to the tasks or we work through everything together. I help you make decisions, spot where the friction is, and create practical systems that stick, for your real day-to-day life.

By the end, your space will feel lighter, clearer and easier to live in.

How much does a professional organiser charge?

Every home organising job is different and a good professional organiser will always tailor their quote to your specific needs. Sort and Order daily rates start from £350, including a free telephone consultation, a site visit if nearby to Tring, project planning and storage suggestions/links and the organising day itself.
